Jagiellonian University Academics visit New Zealand

The New Zealand Embassy in Warsaw and Education New Zealand have facilitated the visit of distinguished Jagiellonian University professors to New Zealand taking place this week.

The academic delegation from the Malopolska Centre of Biotechnology of Jagiellonian University in Kraków, one of Poland’s most prestigious universities visited Massey’s Palmerston North campus on Friday 28 March. The delegation, led by Prof. Kazimierz Strzalka, Head of the Malopolska Centre, met with the School of Psychology, School of Engineering and Advanced Technology, Research Management Services and the International Office to discuss opportunities for collaboration.

The delegation in particular noted common research interests during their meeting with Prof. Mandy Morgan. They are looking to collaboratively pursue opportunities for staff exchanges, common research projects & collaborative funding applications, including under the EU’s Horizon 2020 strategy.  The delegation is planning to visit all of New Zealand’s universities and selected CRIs during their stay.
