Moana and the Tribe to perform during Warsaw Cross-Culture Festival

Moana and the Tribe

Continuing the celebrations of the 40th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Poland and New Zealand, Moana and the Tribe will perform in Warsaw on Saturday 28 September, at the invitation of the Warsaw Cross-Culture Festival. The group will also feature during the “Masters and Shamans” concert on Friday 27 September.

Led by renowned New Zealand artist Moana Maniapoto, Moana and the Tribe creates its own blend of traditional and contemporary styles of New Zealand pushing the boundaries of Maori music and combining it with reggae and classical music.

The Festival programme will also feature a week-long workshop in kapa haka (traditional Māori performing arts), led by master Haka performers Kemara Kennedy and Lawrence Kershaw from Moana and the Tribe.

“Queens of Rhythm” featuring Moana and the Tribe and Calypso Rose (Trinidad and Tobago)
