Monte Cassino – 69 Anniversary – Warsaw

On 20 May, the Embassy participated in an official ceremony and wreath laying to honour those fallen in the battle for Monte Cassino.

The event, which took place on the 69th anniversary of what was one of the most important battles of World War II, was held at the Monte Cassino monument in Warsaw. Among the participants were representatives of: embassies of countries which participated in the battle, the Polish Parliament , the Ministry of National Defence, Polish armed forces, the Government, representatives of the Mazowiecki Region and authorities of the City of Warsaw, The Office for War Veterans and Victims of Oppression and various NGOs.
