Dear Mr Michalowski

I wish to convey to you the deepest sympathy of the New Zealand people following the tragic deaths of His Excellency Lech Kaczynski and Madame Kaczynska, together with so many senior and distinguished figures from the Polish nation.

This is a profound loss for Poland that will be felt deeply amongst the many Polish communities around the world, including in New Zealand.

Those who died at Smolensk will be remembered for their leadership and their devoted service to their country.

New Zealand stands together with the people of Poland at this time of great sadness.

Yours sincerely
