The Working Holiday Scheme in Poland is open for New Zealand citizens. It enables people aged 18-30 to travel, live and work in Poland for up to 12 months. The Scheme offers 100 places a year and runs from 15 February. The Poland WHS will open on 15 February 2010. The scheme will allow Poles between the ages 18-30 to live and work in New Zealand for up to a year.

National Day of New Zealand (Waitangi Day) celebrations will take place on Saturday 6 February at the Asian Gallery, 5 Freta Street in Warsaw.

1-3 p.m. Event for children. The Asian Gallery will be filled with the sounds images and myths of New Zealand. Children (over 5) are invited to join in Maori games, have their faces painted with ethnic designs and taste some New Zealand treats. Every child will receive a Maori name and a small gift.

The Hon Judith Collins, New Zealand Minister of Veterans' Affairs, Minister of Police and Minister of Corrections (Prisons), visited Poland from 30 August to 2 September.
During the visit, the Minister represented the New Zealand Government at commemorations marking the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of World War II held in Gdańsk on 1 September.

The Hon Judith Collins was also in Warsaw for bilateral calls on monday 31 August.

Her programme included a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Plac Pilsudskiego.
