Rugby World Cup - Less than a month to go!

New Zealand is getting ready for the Rugby World Cup, which kicks off on 9 September. This is one of the world’s largest and most popular sporting events and we are expecting to host around 95,000 international visitors during the tournament, which runs until 23 October. Amongst those visitors, we are looking forward to hosting keen Russian fans coming to New Zealand to support their team, which has qualified for the first time. Russian Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Russian Olympic Committee, Alexander Zhukov, will lead an official delegation to New Zealand for the opening two weeks of the tournament. He will be accompanied by the President of the Russian Rugby Union, Vyacheslav Kopiev.
