Vladivostok Honorary Consul Re-appointed

Ambassador Hamish Cooper hands over the letter of re-appointment to Martin Tate, New Zealand Honorary Consul in Vladivostok

Martin Tate has agreed to serve another term as New Zealand’s Honorary Consul in Vladivostok.

On 23 May Ambassador Hamish Cooper formally handed over Martin’s letter of re-appointment at a reception at the Embassy to mark the visit to Russia of the New Zealand agri-business mission sponsored by New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, in which Martin played a prominent role.

On behalf of the New Zealand government, Ambassador Cooper expressed deep appreciation for Martin’s service in the Russian Far East since 2001, with a focus on provision of consular services, and development of trade and economic links between the RFE and New Zealand.
