The new Ambassador of New Zealand to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Hamish MacMaster, presented a working copy of his credentials to HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Riyadh on 15 January 2014.

Ambassador MacMaster stressed his determination to strengthen the relations between the two countries in all aspects. HE Ambassador Azzam Al-Qain, Under-Secretary of the Ministry for Protocol Affairs, was also present at the meeting.

Mr MacMaster served as Deputy Head of Mission in at the New Zealand Embassy in Riyadh from 1998-2001, and has previously been posted as New Zealand Ambassador to Iran 2004-2009, accredited also to Afghanistan and Pakistan.
