PM John Key visits Singapore

The Right Honourable John Key, Prime Minister of New Zealand visited Singapore on his first official visit on 18 April 2012. He made a keynote speech at a business lunch co-organised by the Singapore Business Federation and the New Zealand Chamber of Commerce. The luncheon was attended by more than 200 business leaders from both countries. Prime Minister John Key also called on Singapore President Tony Tan Keng Yam and met Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong for talks. PM Lee also hosted an official state dinner at the Istana in honour of Prime Minister Key.

Change in New Zealand High Commission public opening hours

Due to current staff shortages, the public opening hours of the New Zealand High Commission will be reduced with effect from Monday, 28 May 2012 (until further notice).

From that date, the High Commission will be open to visitors from 9:30am to 1:00pm only, Monday to Friday. For consular assistance and in emergencies outside of these hours, New Zealanders should call the High Commission Duty Officer on Tel (+65) 9631 4842.

The United Nations Handbook remains the only comprehensive printed guide to the United Nations system and how it works. The Handbook summarises all United Nations organisations and provides essential information about their aims, structure and membership.

The UN Handbook is published by New Zealand's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. It symbolises New Zealand's long-standing and practical commitment to the United Nations.
