Executive Assistant/Team Administrator, New Zealand High Commission, Singapore
The New Zealand High Commission in Singapore is seeking an Executive Assistant/Team Administrator to be part of the Mission’s support team and provide administrative and events support to High Commission staff.
The New Zealand High Commission in Singapore is responsible for New Zealand’s official relations with Singapore and Maldives. The High Commission works closely with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Wellington and other New Zealand agencies particularly NZ Trade & Enterprise, Tourism New Zealand, the New Zealand Defence Force and others in the promotion of New Zealand’s interests.
The Executive Assistant will be responsible for:
- Providing secretarial and administrative support to the High Commissioner, Deputy High Commissioner and other post staff e.g. word processing, email, screening calls and correspondence, scheduling appointments, diary management;
- Arranging and organising events, meetings, presentations, conferences and workshops including venues, catering and associated agendas and documents as appropriate;
- Coordinating Ministerial and other high-level visitor programmes including logistical arrangements.
Applicants should have experience in a secretarial, support or events management role and have proven written and oral communication skills. Initiative is essential, as is the ability to work as part of a team and to back up others as required. Occasional after-hours work will be required.
This is a locally engaged position. The terms and conditions of employment will be in line with Singapore employment legislation. The successful applicant, if resident outside of Singapore, will be responsible for costs associated with relocation to Singapore and accommodation in Singapore.
