New Zealand High Commission Singapore
Raising funds for Christchurch
On Sunday, 17 April members of the New Zealand community, together with families and friends gathered at the home of New Zealand High Commissioner, Mr Peter Hamilton and Ms Lamai Wade and enjoyed a ‘good ole Kiwi sausage sizzle in the back yard’ to raise money for the Christchurch Earthquake Appeal.
Over 200 guests took part in the fundraising event, organized by the New Zealand High Commission and New Zealand Chamber of Commerce and a total of nearly $12,000 was raised on the day. It is acknowledged, with much appreciation, that this would not have been possible without the support of those who generously donated food, beverages, and raffle prizes and of course those who participated throughout the day.
Guests relaxed in and around the pool, in the courtyard and on the lawn while MC Shayma Alkaff and her band, 6th Avenue, informed and entertained them.
