When a City Falls – preview screening in Singapore

More than 150 people attended the preview screening of New Zealand movie documentary, When a City Falls at the Coral Dixon Theatre, Australian International School on June 20. This event was organised by the New Zealand Chamber of Commerce in Singapore and generously sponsored by Westpac Banking Corporation. The audience were treated to New Zealand wine and cheese during the pre-screening reception that allowed guests to mingle and interact with Gerard Smyth, the film director of When a City Falls. Westpac’s managing director Lloyd Cartwright made the opening remarks and thanked the audience for supporting this event, which would allow further donations to be made to the Christchurch Earthquake Appeal Fund. Director Gerard Smyth provided further insights into the making of this movie - on the Christchurch Earthquake that occurred in February last year - during the lively Question & Answer session that followed the premiere screening.
