New Zealand High Commission Singapore


The New Zealand High Commission in Singapore is moving office premises from Orchard Road to the Central Business District in the week of 8 July 2013. 

New Zealand Defence Force, New Zealand Trade & Enterprise, Tourism New Zealand and the New Zealand Chamber of Commerce will relocate to the new office at the same time.

We will be open for business in our new premises from 9am on Monday 15 July.

New Zealand High Commission services will be limited on 11-12 July to enable the relocation to take place.


Smoke haze from fires in Sumatra (Indonesia) is currently causing very high pollution readings in Singapore, parts of Malaysia, and Sumatra itself. The haze is generally worse between June and October depending on the number of fires lit, wind direction and climatic conditions.


In mid-July 2013 the New Zealand High Commission is scheduled to relocate from its current premises on Orchard Road to new offices at Level 21, One George Street in the central business district (nearest MRT: Clarke Quay or Raffles Place).


Around 1,000 people gathered at Singapore’s Kranji War Memorial on 25 April for the ANZAC Day Dawn Service, this year hosted by New Zealand in collaboration with Australian counterparts.


From 25 March 2013 the Immigration New Zealand office in Singapore will no longer receive visa applications.

All applications that were previously received by this offices should be sent by mail or courier to the New Zealand Visa Application Centre (VAC) in  Singapore. For full details please follow this link.

BackgroundVictoria University of Wellington (VUW) established these PhD scholarships in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) to recognise New Zealand’s strong commitment to active engagement with the ASEAN region. These scholarships ensure that the New Zealand-ASEAN Scholars programme is comprehensive in its regional scope.
Purpose of award
Victoria offers four scholarships per year to PhD applicants from Singapore and Brunei (two awards are made to Brunei and two to Singapore).


We wish to inform that the annual electrical shutdown in our building will be carried from 4.30pm Tuesday, 2 October until approximately 10am Wednesday, 3rd October.

During this period the electricity supply to our office will be shut down and our phone system will not be working.

Joe Harawira, a renowned storyteller from New Zealand, participated in the 2012 Singapore International Storytelling Festival in September, with support from the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Public Diplomacy Fund.
