New Zealand citizenship by descent carries the right to live in New Zealand and hold a New Zealand passport.

The New Zealand Department of Internal Affairs is responsible for processing Applications for New Zealand citizenship. Application forms and full information on citizenship can be obtained from www.citizenship.govt.nz.
