South Africa joins Global Alliance

South Africa will join the Global Research Alliance on Agricultural Greenhouse Gases. It will sign the Alliance Charter at the Ministerial Summit in June.  South Africa will be represented in the Alliance by its Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.

The Global Research Alliance brings countries together to find ways to grow more food without growing greenhouse gas emissions. It seeks to increase international scientific cooperation and investment in research on greenhouse gas emissions to improve measurement of emissions; and to promote collaboration on mitigation technologies and research into best practice models.
