Committed to Effective Aid: The New Zealand Aid Programme 2010-2011 Year in Review

The Committed to Effective Aid publication contains highlights of the New Zealand Aid Programme’s priorities, partnerships and sustainable development initiatives, particularly in the Pacific, but also in Asia, Africa and Afghanistan.

It outlines a focus on partnerships to address development challenges in the Pacific through the Cairns Compact, and New Zealand’s flexible approach to partner opportunities as new actors and donors become involved in international development. It concludes with a round up of the 42nd Pacific Islands Forum, which was hosted by New Zealand in September.

A New Zealand delegation has taken the Committed to Effective Aid publication to the Fourth High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness held in Busan, Republic of Korea from 29 November – 01 December.

(The striking art work on the front and inside covers was selected from the two top entrants of an art competition the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat ran for schools earlier this year.)
