High Commission staff presentation to 3rd Grade learners at Sir Edmund Hillary Primary School

Staff of the New Zealand High Commission visited the Sir Edmund Hillary Primary School in Johannesburg on 2 March to teach 3rd Grade learners about New Zealand, as part of their study of the history of their school.

The High Commission is keen to support the school and to foster understanding of the connection between its name and New Zealand.

During the lesson the 120 young learners watched a slide show about New Zealand, played a game based on Sir Ed's ascent of Mt Everest and did a short quiz.  Click here to take the quiz and see whether you can a get all the questions right!
