Christchurch Earthquake Appeal

The Government of New Zealand has now set up the Christchurch Earthquake Appeal, www.christchurchearthquakeappeal.govt.nz. A list of other appeals can be found at www.civildefence.govt.nz.
Unfortunately a number of email and website scams have been set up targeting people wanting to donate to victims when making a donation online, so it is important to check the payment page is secure, check the url, and look out for tell-tales signs - like "Christchurch" being misspelt.
