Cricket - New Zealand Ambassador's Cup Saturday 7 July 2012

The New Zealand Embassy in Stockholm has now closed.

The last event the Embassy has organised is a cricket match on Saturday 7 July.

The match of 35 overs will be played at the Sigtuna Cricket Club Stadium (the new one) on Midgårdsvägen in Märsta, starting at 12 noon.

A combined New Zealand and Australia team will play a South Asian team comprising India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.  The two teams will be competing for the New Zealand Ambassador’s Cup which the Ambassador will present to the winning team at the end of the game.

All are welcome to attend this event and cheer our team on!  The Embassy will provide tea at 3 pm.

Driving instructions to Sigtuna Cricket Club Stadium: From the E4, take the turn off towards Märsta, Sigtuna and Arlanda Stad.  Drive towards Sigtuna for about 4 km.  At the second roundabout turn left on to Midgårdsvägen and you will see the cricket ground on your right.

Please let us know if you intend to be there – the contact in the Embassy is Jessica Williams at or 08-459 69 43 (please do not use the post e-mail address since this has been redirected to Brussels).
