Emergency travel documents

This Embassy cannot at this time provide emergency service for the issue of Emergency Travel Documents (ETDs). The ETD will need to be applied for through the nearest New Zealand Embassy (The Hague or Berlin). The ETD should be processed within a maximum of three working days. The fee is subject to currency fluctuations and costs approximately:

• Adults/Children: NZ$350 equivalent. An after-hour call-out fee is applicable.

This is not a replacement passport - it is an emergency travel document and will only be issue in an emergency or for compassionate grounds. The emergency travel document has a validity of one month (some exceptions do apply).
