The UN Handbook

United nations handbook 2013-14 now available as an app

Since 1961, New Zealand has demonstrated its long-standing commitment and practical support for the United Nations by producing the UN Handbook.

The UN Handbook is a valuable reference guide that helps all states navigate the UN system effectively.  We are committed to making the content more useable and accessible and this year the UN Handbook is also available as a mobile app.

The app has a number of useful functions:

• Search the UN Handbook and see the results, with the most relevant first, in seconds
• Bookmark regularly accessed information
• Go to websites, phone a UN office or email a UN contact – the app is integrated with your smartphone or tablet
• Browse all content with the easy to use drawer navigation
• Quickly access lists of acronyms and abbreviations
• Find UN buildings around the world with maps, and link to your favourite Maps App to get directions
• Access information wherever you are in offline mode

The app is available for iOS devices on the Apple store, and Android devices on Google Play. Direct links to the app in both locations can be found on the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade website.
