Dr Jonathan Austin and Father Lutoviko Finau

On 20th October 2011, Malia Tupuimakulata Kindergarten received assistance for the establishment of a new water tank thanks to the support of the New Zealand Government.

The assistance was granted under the New Zealand High Commission’s Head of Mission Fund.

Kindergarten Principal, Father Lutoviko Finau, explained that the tank will provide easy access to safe drinking water for its staff and students and water supply for the school’s lavatory.

The happy students of Malia Tupuimakulata Kindergarten along with the school board and members of staff celebrated the handover of TOP$3215 for the provision of a complete 10,000 litre water tank.

In handing over the cheque to Father Finau, High Commissioner Dr Jonathan Austin, said he was pleased to be supporting the efforts of the Church and community in providing a good environment for their pre-school children to play and learn.
