The New Zealand Embassy has become aware that foreigners (including New Zealanders) residing in Turkey with a Residence Permit may be required to make compulsory healthcare insurance payments. We understand that those foreigners affected by this requirement will need to register with the Sosyal Güvenlik Kurumu (SGK) by 31 January 2012.
