Nominations open for New Zealander of the Year
The New Zealand Society (UK) and Air New Zealand are seeking nominations for the prestigious annual New Zealander of the Year award.
The award, which recognises the outstanding contribution that a New Zealand or British national has made in presenting “a positive image of New Zealand in Britain”, symbolises the continuation of the close relationship between the United Kingdom and New Zealand.
The New Zealand Society and Air New Zealand are looking for nominees from a wide cross section of the community, from those who are very much in the limelight to those who have worked devotedly promoting New Zealand in the UK. This year's winner Anna Hansen from The Modern Pantry embodies that passionate kiwi spirit with her huge drive and commitment for things New Zealand in all her efforts in the UK culinary scene.

Nominations close at midday on 19 November 2010. The winner will be announced at the NZ Society Waitangi Day Dinner on Friday 4 February 2011 at The Crypt with food by Bleeding Heart.
