2012 Bali Memorial Service
Foreign Affairs Minister Murray McCully has announced the Government will support New Zealanders seriously affected by the 2002 Bali bombings to attend the 10 year anniversary memorial service in Bali on 12 October 2012.
New Zealand Government Assistance
The Government is offering an assistance package for the families of those New Zealanders killed, and those New Zealanders injured or suffering lasting trauma as a direct result of the first Bali bombings to attend the tenth anniversary memorial service in Bali, if they wish to do so. The assistance package will help cover the costs of airfares and accommodation of those affected New Zealanders wishing to attend the memorial service in Bali on 12 October 2012.
To claim New Zealand Government assistance to attend the memorial service in Bali, you will need to meet the following criteria:
- Be the Next of Kin of a New Zealander killed in the 2002 Bali bombings. The Government will provide assistance for up to two members of each family of those New Zealanders killed in the tragedy.
- Be a New Zealand citizen who was injured or who has suffered lasting trauma as a direct result of the 2002 Bali bombings.
