Trade Between the United States and New Zealand

The United States is a robust and growing export market for New Zealand, though the trade balance remains significantly in the United States’ favour. The United States is our second largest trading partner after Australia. New Zealand works closely with the United States on regional and multilateral economic issues. A shared commitment to free trade means we cooperate closely in trade fora such as the World Trade Organisation, Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation and the Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development.

Up-to-date trade statistics on New Zealand can be found on the Statistics New Zealand website. This site also contains detailed information on New Zealand's exports and imports.

More information about the bilateral relationship can be found on the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade website.
