United States Announces Engagement with Trans-Pacific Partnership

On 14 November 2009, US President Barack Obama announced that the United States will engage with the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) initiative, which involves New Zealand.

US Trade Representative, Ambassador Ron Kirk provided additional comments on the announcement. The announcements by President Obama and Ambassador Kirk were welcomed by New Zealand’s Minister of Trade, Hon Tim Groser.
