New Zealand and the United States will sign a new partnership document setting out areas of cooperation between the two countries including in areas such as nuclear non-proliferation, the Pacific, Antarctica and the Southern Ocean.

The signing will take place after US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who is travelling to New Zealand after visiting Papua New Guinea, has talks at the New Zealand Parliament with Foreign Minister Murray McCully and Prime Minister John Key.
