The team will design, build and operate a reinvented bach, which will be powered entirely by solar energy. The competition aims to promote sustainable energy. All sustainable living exhibits will be displayed in the National Mall in Washington DC near the White House. Running for over ten days in October 2011, around 150,000 people are expected to visit the temporary solar village.
The winning team of the competition is the team that best combines design excellence with optimal energy production and maximum energy efficiency. Other teams include 16 from the US and contestants from China, Belgium and Canada.
