On 3 December 2012, the New Zealand Embassy hosted a presentation by Dr Holly Thorpe, a visiting Fulbright scholar from the University of Waikato, on “The Christchurch earthquake: How sport helped the city recover from natural disaster.” 

The Ambassador’s Shield Rugby Festival on Sunday, 11 November 2012, showcased a series of rugby matches at Ft. McNair in Washington, DC and closed with the main event, a match between the New Zealand Ambassador’s XV and the US Military Combined Services teams. 

Stakeholder registration for Round 15 of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) negotiations is now open.  Round 15 will be hosted by New Zealand at the SkyCity Convention Centre in central Auckland over 3-12 December 2012.

Stakeholders from the eleven TPP participant countries are invited to a host-organised programme at the negotiating venue on Friday 7 December, comprising:

·         9am-2pm:  Scheduled stakeholder presentations

Preliminary information is now available for stakeholders from TPP participating countries who might be considering attending Round 15 in Auckland, 3-12 December 2012.  Keep watching TPP Talk for further information related to Round 15.
