New Zealand ASEAN Scholars awards empower future leaders with the knowledge, skills and qualifications to contribute to economic, social and political development within ASEAN nations.
The New Zealand Government, through the New Zealand Aid Programme, provides scholarships for qualified students from Vietnam to undertake development-related studies at a university or polytechnic in New Zealand.

New Zealand – Viet Nam Working Holiday Scheme Arrangement signed
The Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs of Viet Nam H.E. Ms Pham Thi Hai Chuyen and the New Zealand Ambassador to Viet Nam H.E. Ms Heather Riddell have signed an Arrangement to establish a bilateral Working Holiday Scheme (WHS) between Viet Nam and New Zealand. The signing ceremony took place in Ha Noi on 29 December 2011.

New Zealand ready to receive Vietnamese mangoes
The New Zealand Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MAF) has completed all necessary preparations to allow mangoes from Viet Nam to be exported to New Zealand in future.
