Just because you are out of the country doesn’t mean you have to miss out on having your say in two binding referendums on the future of the New Zealand flag. 


Prime Minister John Key will travel to Viet Nam, the Philippines and Malaysia for a series of meetings aimed at boosting New Zealand’s trade, political and security links in the region.

Do you want to have a say on the future of the New Zealand flag?
Later this year and early next year, New Zealanders enrolled to vote will be asked to participate in two postal referenda to consider the future of the New Zealand flag:
1. to rank the shortlist of four flag alternatives
2. to keep the current flag or adopt the preferred alternative design.


The Australian and New Zealand Embassies in Ha Noi will jointly commemorate Anzac Day with a dawn service at the Australian Embassy.

The New Zealand Embassy hosted a press conference to officially launch the ‘New Zealand – Open to the New’ season, kicking-off an anniversary year celebrating 40 years of diplomatic relations between New Zealand and Viet Nam, in the presence of Vietnam Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung, New Zealand Ambassador to Vietnam Haike Manning, Mayor of Wellington capital city Her Worship Celia Wade-Brown, Managing Partner of Fraser Law Mr Mark Fraser, and many journalists.


New Zealand is proud to partner with the African Union Commission to produce the African Union Handbook 2015. In a significant development, this edition has been published in both English and French.
