New Ambassador hosts education function in Ha Noi

New Zealand’s new Ambassador and Victoria University of Wellington (VUW) co-hosted a reception on Friday 5 October, at the New Zealand Ambassador’s Residence.

Guests included VUW’s business partners in Viet Nam, including the Diplomatic Academy of Viet Nam, the Academy of Finance, and the National Economics University, as well as former students of VUW.

Hosting his first function since arriving in Viet Nam earlier in the week, Ambassador Manning emphasized the importance of education in the bilateral relationship between Viet Nam and New Zealand, and acknowledged VUW’s efforts to build strong links in Viet Nam.

Professor Neil Quigley – VUW Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research) expressed sincere thanks to all of the invited guests for their support and appreciation for the effective collaboration with VUW’s Vietnamese partners.  Professor Quigley also welcomed the signing of a new agreement that day between VUW and the Supreme People’s Procuracy.
